Scripture Reading: Proverbs 10:31-11:2; John 6:28-35; James 3:13-18


There’s a stark contrast in view in this passage: humility and wisdom on the one hand and ambition and disorder on the other. It’s like a choice between being ‘mature and complete, not lacking anything’ or being someone who is ‘double-minded and unstable in all they do.’ Unfortunately, the small daily decisions we make – the little things that often set the tone for our lives – these don’t come labeled accordingly. God, we need wisdom.
