Who Do People Say I Am? Who Do You Say that I Am? – Terry Lamb, Alberta MB Conference

Matthew 16:13-20

Our modern church culture forces us to live in a strange  dichotomy between head and heart, often like they are in opposition. When Jesus asks the disciples in Matthew’s Holy Gospel, “Who do you say I am?” He bridges head and heart with truth. Truth invites us on a journey, to marry word and spirit and the outworking of both in our lives. Word and spirit marinating in our lives are like words and music together they make a song, one without the other we fall prey to judgement and Christian immaturity.
