Text: John 9:1-12
In John 9, we read the story of a man who had been blind from birth. After some discussion with his disciples, Jesus heals the man – an act that involves saliva, mud, and water. This seems an unnecessary complication for Jesus, when we know he can heal just by saying the word. What can we learn from the mud? And, how does Jesus, the light of the world, reveal himself, both then and now?
