In our scripture for today, a woman, filled with gratitude, washes Jesus’ feet with her tears and stirs up controversy among Jesus’ dinner companions. They see only her “scandalous” behavior, but Jesus sees her for who she is – inside and out. Jesus does not rebuke her, but embraces and restores her. As we near the end of our Lenten journey, what can we learn from this exchange between the weeping woman and Jesus? How do we respond to the generous gift of healing and hope he offers to each one of us?
