Text: Acts 9:1-19
In Acts 9, we read the story of Saul’s encounter with the Lord on the Road to Damascus. It is a transforming experience, one that changes the direction of Saul’s life and work radically. We read about his persecution of the church, his temporary blindness, and the story of one reluctant believer, Ananias, who is called upon to pray with him. It’s a story of complicated relationships, uncertain outcomes, and the relentless progress of the good news. As we reflect on this passage, I will share some of my stories of visiting Christians who live in Palestine and their experience of sharing good news in the midst of a violent and unsettling conflict.
