The Te Deum Singers present a benefit concert for the Syrian Refugee Project. Hear the music of angels prophesying and proclaiming, shepherds celebrating, and bells ringing in jubilation. Saturday, November 28th at 7pm.
Syrian Refugee Project
There are now more people displaced by conflict than at any time since World War II—nearly 60 million people.
Sponsorship is a one year commitment. The sponsor helps the refugee family with practical things like housing, finances, and grocery shopping, as well as offering friendship and emotional support. While the legal sponsorship lasts a year, the relationships formed are often transforming and everlasting.
Lendrum MB Church and its partners are raising funds to sponsor three Syrian Orthodox families in Edmonton: a family of five with three children, a family of four with two children, and a couple. It costs approximately $30,000.00 (depending on the size of the unit) to successfully settle a family in Canada.
100% of the money collected at the concerts will go towards the Syrian Refugee Project. Please make cheques payable to LMBC with “Refugee Sponsorship Fund” in the memo line.
