In John 21, the disciples once again encounter the Risen Christ – this time on the beach. At first, they fail to recognize him. But, when he is revealed they rush to him and share a meal of fish around the fire. As things progress, the action focuses in on Peter and Jesus. Do you love me? Jesus asks three times. And, through this conversation, Peter learns a valuable lesson about what it looks like to love Jesus – not only in word, but also with the fullness of his life. What can we learn from our brother, Peter? What might it look like for us to love Jesus, and follow him, today?
