Scripture: James 2:1-13
In the second chapter of James, we find familiar words, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” And this, following a conversation about not showing favortism. What does it look like to stop “playing favorites”? And, perhaps even more difficult, what does it mean to “love your neighbour as yourself“? We’ll spend some time reflecting on these questions and how James’ teaching for early Christians still has resonance for us today.
