Matthew 5:21-26; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

 

What does reconciliation have to do with worship? What does worship have to do with reconciliation? This Sunday’s sermon will address these questions with three focii:

1. How our worship is a participation in what God in Christ has done on the cross

2. How we talk about the ways the church has failed to connect these two things, with special reference to the South African churches under apartheid

3. Why the upcoming sitting of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is an event within the worship of the church
