The story of two disciples on the road to Emmaus reminds us how disorienting Jesus’ death, and early reports of his resurrection, were for his followers. They were sad and confused. Nothing made sense! And, it’s into this moment of upset and overwhelm that Jesus speaks – instructing them how to tell the miraculous story of his life, death, and resurrection. On this second Sunday of Easter, let’s reflect on what encourages (or prevents!) us when it comes to sharing the story of Jesus and his love.
