Inter-Mennonite Easter Services

 January 1, 1970

All services will be held at Lendrum Mennonite Brethren Church.

Maundy Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 pm

Come to hear the powerful gospel of Mark read out loud in one sitting. The gospels were written with the intention that they be read out loud to the community of the faithful…in the early church most people could not read. In our churches, we often read pieces of the gospel, hearing the whole story together is a unique opportunity for reflection. You can come to listen, or you can read along in your own bible. This reading will take approximately two hours. Refreshments will be available throughout the evening. We hope to see you there!

Good Friday, April 18 at 10:30 am

The Latin word tenebrae means ‘darkness’ or ‘shadows’. During this service we will reflect on the dark path that Jesus walked to the Golgotha. The path will be mirrored by the gradual darkening of our sanctuary space. Visuals will be provided by the Canadian painter William Kurelek.
