Texts: Matthew 2:1-15, Genesis 28:10-16
The wise men came from the east seeking a newborn king. It wasn’t a secret mission, they told King Herod and many other people in Jerusalem who they were searching for. But it was only the wise men who actually made it to the stable; the other people didn’t bother to take the trip. So the wise men were the ones who received an epiphany, a revelation of God. How does this story change how we see epiphanies? How much work do we have to put into epiphanies, and how much are they simply a gift from God?
