God in the friend zone – Paul Cumin

Scripture reading: John 15:9-17; James 4:1-10

One of the great things about friends is the way being with similar people makes it so easy to relax and be ourselves. It’s comfortable and comforting to be among those who think and live like we do. On the flip-side, choosing to live differently than those around us can feel disconcerting and lonely – like we’re on another planet, another “world.” James has some harsh words and some sharp advice for Christians who find themselves becoming too comfortable in this other world.
