Fall Retreat – Listening to God’s Voice

 September 4, 2015

When we are truly listening, we come to know that God is speaking to us, pointing the way, showing the direction. We simply need to learn to keep our ears open. Discernment is a life of listening to a deeper sound and marching to a different beat, a life in which we become “all ears.” ~Henri Nouwen

Join us in a time to slow down and listen for God’s voice. This will be time to come together to discuss the joys and the challenges of listening for God’s voice and explore how what we hear can shape our identity and our decisions, both individually and corporately. There will be times for discussion, opportunities to try new ways of listening, and, of course, lots of time to relax and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and the joy of each other’s company.

This retreat is a cooperative venture between First Mennonite Church and Lendrum Mennonite Brethren Church. It’s a great opportunity to renew friendships, form new friendships, and share stories with our extended family!
