Dear Philemon – Sherri Guenther Trautwein

Philemon is the shortest and most personal letter in the New Testament attributed to the apostle Paul. In the space of just 25 verses, we catch a unique glimpse into the dynamics of early church relationships and the tension of living as Christ followers amidst the socially accepted norms of the day. Small, but mighty, this letter resonates with tensions believers still find themselves navigating nearly 2000 years later. What might we learn from reading Philemon and how might the apostle’s words open new paths for us as we seek to live and love together?
