This week we’ll begin a new fall sermon series, Walking with Jesus. We will focus on various stories from Mark’s Gospel and our first stop is Mark 7 which records Jesus’ encounters with both a desperate mother and a deaf man. Both are in need of healing, and Jesus speaks, and acts, in surprising ways! How do we respond to Jesus when he says or does things that unsettle us? How do these stories challenge our perspectives on Jesus and invite us deeper into relationship with him?
