Have you ever received a present you didn’t really want? Or advice that you didn’t ask for? Some gifts can feel thoughtless or can even become a burden, but giving a good gift is one of the best ways to show that we care. In this week’s scripture readings, God offers to heal the nations, cleanse the city of every accursed thing, and comfort all who are troubled. These are good gifts, and the people of Macedonia welcomed them, begging God’s messengers to stay in their homes. What gifts would we invite into our homes today?
