Who wants to go to a hockey game? The Edmonton Oil Kings are inviting churches to their Faith and Fun Night on Friday, January 19. Tickets for our group will be discounted to $20, but we need to book soon. This is a great chance for people of all ages to enjoy time together. So, if you like hockey, or if you want to connect with others from the church, please let the church office know by Sunday, November 12.
Mark Your Calendars for the next Loaves & Fishes, Saturday, November 18 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the church. We’ll be making Kub Kars in preparation for a Kub Kar rally at the church Christmas banquet. Welcome to the 2023/2024 program of Adult Christian Education at Lendrum Mennonite Church! This ten-month schedule is presented after the Worship Service on most Sundays, getting underway at 11:15 and winding up at noon. Here is a look at our upcoming sessions:

Palestine and Israel Conflict Response: In the midst of increased violence and devastation in Gaza, MCC-partner Al-Najd Developmental Forum (Al-Najd), is focusing its energy on how they can best aid their neighbors. Despite the incredible danger around them, Al-Najd has distributed bedding and emergency food rations to more than 230 families. Flood & Fury Event. How do we understand a God and Scripture that seems to endorse genocide, murder, and pillaging in the Old Testament? Messiah — Continuing the tradition of an RES & ESO co-production. Handel’s Messiah is a winter seasonal favourite. Tracing the life of Jesus Christ in three sweeping sections to bring you comfort and joy. Performances will be at the Winspear Centre, Dec. 8 and 9 at 7:30 PM.

Quandries Public Lecture Series. On the first Tuesday of every month, Dr. Jeff Dudiak hosts a public lecture series about contemporary moral dilemmas. Pond Hockey Tournament. On January 13, join our 14th annual 3 on 3 Pond Hockey Fundraiser! Bring your friends and come lace up the skates to support Camp Evergreen’s campership aid fun and send more kids to camp.
Winterfest Family Camp. February 16-18, join us for Winterfest Family Camp, a 2-night camp designed specifically for families. Camp includes wide games, fireside, chapel times, worship through music, skating, snowshoeing, and all of our amazing activities. No Room in the Inn Campaign
A Safe Place. This year, the Edmonton & District Council of Churches’ No Room In the Inn Campaign is supporting A Safe Place, a facility in Sherwood Park for those escaping intimate or family violence. Funds from the campaign will go specifically to fixing their roof, which is in need of significant repair. You can donate directly to A Safe Place by sending them a cheque to Box 3282, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 2T2, with “No Room In the Inn” in the memo line.
