Sombrilla International Development Society, together with Alfie Myher and the musical group “Take 5” invite you to an afternoon of music, food and learning at the Edmonton Ukrainian Center (11018 – 97 St) on Sunday 3:00 pm, June 9, 2024. This is a fundraiser to support CAL (Computer Assisted Learning) in Honduras. The CAL program breaks down barriers to education by annually providing a means for 700+ Hondurans of all ages to continue their education. Many of these would be excluded from education beyond grade six. CAL was developed under Canadian Peacemakers International. Effective January 1, 2024 the program was migrated from CPI to Sombrilla. A critical element in the transition has been to ensure that the integrity and delivery of the CAL program is maintained.
The ticket cost is $15 and these are available by contacting Wendy B.
