SAVE THE DATE! ReNew: A Resourcing Conference for Pastors and Church Leaders, January 30—31. Our theme this year is “Living Call Stories: Dynamics of the Pastoral Vocation” with Kathleen Cahalan, Professor of Practical Theology at St. John’s School of Theology and Seminary. More information to follow, visit cmu.ca/renew for further description of the conference.

CMU Hold in Common. Please join us for the first virtual gathering of the CMU Hold in Common project, a candid look at the place CMU and other institutions have in today’s society. What does it mean to “hold things in common,” to create dynamic communities that can face the challenges of the day in ways that are interesting, refreshing, and trustworthy?
This event, on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 7-8:30 pm on Zoom, will be an opportunity to connect with friends of CMU and alumni of your generation. Share your perspectives—your hopes and your misgivings—on what’s at stake with institutions that are shared and held collectively by diverse, grassroots communities. Register here.

No Room In the Inn Campaign 2022. This year, the No Room In the Inn campaign will be working with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton (CMHA-ER). Currently the access control/intercom panels and supporting software/hardware in five of their residences, two in Central MacDougall, two in Inglewood, and one in Queen Mary Park, require replacement or upgrades. This project will provide these properties with better access to the buildings, and increase the security to the properties, and ultimately for the tenants. Their motto: “Safe in My Own Home”. You can learn more and donate directly on the website.
