It’s School kit season! As you’re picking up school supplies for your kids, why not pick up a few extras for School kits? Last year, more than 81,000 School kits were shipped to countries like Ukraine, Zambia and Burundi. If your group or church is collecting kits, please let Linda know the quantity of kits you’ll be sending to the warehouse by the end of August. The hope is to collect 24,000 School kits this season. As always, thank you so much for your support and prayers for kids receiving School kits all over the world. Click here for more information.
MCC Alberta Golf Classic, September 6: Don’t miss the MCC Alberta Golf Classic on Friday September 6 at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Leduc County, AB! Join us for a free Pre-tournament BBQ on Thursday, September 5, 6pm at Victoria Park, Site #6. Stay tuned for more details on the Online Auction that will run in conjunction with the tournament. MCC Alberta announces an open call for actors for a one act play called “Aleppo Cookies”, by Adam Schnell. This play will premiere at In Tune: The Soul’s Cry for Home, Saturday, Oct. 26 at Ambrose University in Calgary. If you’re an actor and would like to audition, more information is available online here. Philosopher’s Café Series: The Progressive Genius: What is the central progressive truth? What has been the gifts of the progressive political perspective since its inception in the 19th and early 20th century? Has it lost its way? Where are progressives to be found? Xplore with CMU
CMU’s Xplore extended education program investigates dimensions of the Christian faith, our world, and life in it – all without assignments or exams!
