The Widows and Widowers support group will be meeting on Wednesday, April 26 for their monthly get-together.


On May 7, Lendrum will be hosting a fundraising lunch for Camp Evergreen. Come out after Sunday School to eat and fellowship together, learn more about what the Camp is up to, and contribute to their good work.

Canadian Mennonite University

CMU Virtual Open House takes place on Wednesday, April 26, 6:00–7:00 PM (CDT). Receive a virtual campus tour, ask questions of our admissions team, and hear from faculty and current students—register at cmu.ca/virtual-open-house. Spring at CMU takes place on April 28 at 7:00 PM (CDT) in person at the Loewen Athletic Centre on the Shaftesbury campus. The concert is a time to Gather with others, Celebrate with students and Give to support the mission of CMU. The concert can also be watched online at cmu.ca/springatcmu.

Camp Evergreen

Father & Son’s Retreat. From May 5-7, Camp Evergreen is hosting the Father & Son’s retreat. Come out for wide games, good food, and maybe even paintball! Registration is open until May 1 on their website.

60th Anniversary. All are welcome to celebrate Evergreen’s 60th anniversary June 10-11, 2023. The weekend will begin with the AGM, followed by festivities and time to worship together. Find out more about accommodations and register for the weekend here.


Edmonton District Council of Churches

Save the Date! June 8-10, 2023: The 8th Canadian Forum on Inter-Church Dialogues, sponsored by The Canadian Council of Churches, The Prairie Centre for Ecumenism and The Canadian Centre for Ecumenism, will take place in Edmonton. The theme is Pêhonân / A Gathering-Waiting Place: Voices of Indigenous Followers of Jesus in the Ecumenical Movement. Pêhonân is a place at the bend in the North Saskatchewan River where First Nations would assemble for ceremony and exchange. Honouring the gifts of this place, this event focuses on the experiences of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Christians in the ecumenical movement and offers workshops on ecumenical topics. We invite you to learn more about and register for this important gathering. 


University of Alberta

Rob S. is looking for age 50+ volunteers willing to participate in an MRI study of sodium in the skin of the calf. Recent studies suggest that skin sodium may be linked to hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease (among other disorders). Rob’s lab at the UofA is working to improve MRI techniques for skin sodium measurement. Contact Rob if you are interested in this study.
