This week, we return to the words of Jeremiah the prophet, and a graphic description of the lives of the cursed and the blessed. Drawing on lessons observed in nature, Jeremiah points to shrubs and trees and calls his hearers to trust the Lord and to be people whose roots allow them to bear good fruit. How open are we to learning Jeremiah’s lesson? Are we willing to take stock of our own lives of faith and “Be like a tree…”?
