People had very different reactions to Jesus’ birth,
they all had ideas about who this baby might be…
“A mistake, an accident, an embarrassment,”
from the families of Mary and Joseph.
“A promise, a hope, a deliverer,”
from the perspective of the angel and Mary;
“A beloved child, a darling baby, a huge responsibility,”
from the perspective of both Jesus’ parents.
