What is less interesting than a list of things to do? Biblical writers like Paul sometimes used lists to organize the instructions they gave to their communities. Today, it can be tempting for us to read them quickly or skip right past them altogether. But for the writer, each item was included and written down for a reason. What if, instead of a list of chores, we read these instructions like a recipe?
